Obsidian’s upcoming RPG, Avowed, according to Art Director Matt Hansen, “does not need 60 FPS.” The decision says Hansen, allows for prioritizing visuals over framerate, the team aims for a visually rich experience. Originally set for 2024, the game is now launching on February 18, 2025.
