Michel Ancel revealed that the issues with the continued delays of Beyond Good and Evil 2 stem from management issues. Ancel said in an interview with Superpouvoir that himself and the the other directors failed to see eye to eye and could never agree on the direction of the project. Ancel went on to say that even Yves Guillemot intervening wasnt enough to stir the game back on track.
