Unlike the first installment in the trilogy, Final Fantasy 7: Rebirth will not feature any DLC, with the team choosing to focus on releasing the final game in the saga. However that was not the original plan according to director Naoki Hamaguchi. Much like Final Fantasy 7: Remake there was a plan for episodic DLC stories to be released for Rebirth to line up with the PC release coming next year, the idea was scrapped however to speed up production of the final game in the saga.
