After repeated flops in 2024, an Ubisoft insider revealed to Fandom Pulse that the company reached out to Steam in an attempt to make concurrent player data from websites like SteamDB private for Ubisoft games. Ubisoft is reportedly upset that the public data allows, the press, the public, and investors to see how poorly their games have done this year. Star Wars Outlaws for example failed to hit even 1,000 players on Steam on its release day.
