With the Splitgate 2 Early Alpha starting up, CEO and co-founder of 1047 Studios Ian Proulx reflected on what changes the studio is making for the sequel. Proulx told Grant Taylor-Hill of Insider gaming that Splitgate had fantastic early numbers but struggled to keep players around passed the three to four week mark. This time around Splitgate 2 will feature more things to unlock, along with seasonal events, and more customization. Proulx said Splitegate 2 is innovating on gameplay and not on monetization.
