Scot Savage | Host

Scott epitomizes the quintessential ’90s gamer. Introduced to the digital world by his father through early classics like Wolfenstein and Rise of the Triad, and later engaging with Wacky Wheels and Atari treasures, Scott’s childhood was richly woven with the threads of interactive entertainment. The late ’90s marked a golden era for him and his brother as they delved into the adventures of Hyrule and engaged in split-screen battles in Goldeneye or Perfect Dark on their N64. For Scott, gaming quickly transcended beyond a mere pastime, evolving into his preferred method of leisure and weekend enjoyment, ultimately steering him towards a career path intertwined with his passion.

Embarking on his professional journey, Scott landed his first job at the iconic Blockbuster Entertainment, a place where his passion for video games could flourish. His involvement in the gaming community didn’t just stop at playing; it encompassed discussing and immersing himself deeply into video game culture, turning a fervent hobby into an all-consuming obsession.

Scott leverages decades of gaming experience, contributing valuable insights especially when dissecting the latest trends and news within the gaming industry. At Inside The Game, he’s recognized as a specialist in first-person shooters and horror games, drawing on his extensive background and passion for these genres to enrich content and analysis.

Steve Radley | Host-Show Editor

Steve Radley embodies the ‘everyman’ of gaming — a host whose love for video games shines brightly. As the eldest member of the ITG Team, Steve’s journey with gaming began in childhood, where pocket money was eagerly spent at arcade machines in local fun fairs or fish and chip shops in the United Kingdom.

This passion for gaming saw him through countless afternoons and weekends spent at friends’ houses, playing on iconic systems like the ZX Spectrum, Commodore 64, Atari, and Colecovision. The acquisition of a Commodore 64 one Christmas marked a significant milestone, turning his home into a hub for friends to gather and enjoy classics like Defender, Boulder Dash, and Daley Thompson’s Decathlon, often at the expense of a few joystick controllers. Steve’s gaming voyage continued with purchasing a Philips CDI, delighting in its blend of films and games, including the graphically impressive Dragon’s Lair. The transition to an OG Xbox brought shared gaming experiences with his son, Lewis, with favorites like Time Splitters and Serious Sam.

Self-taught in videography, lighting, and editing, Steve transitioned from behind the camera to an active game reviewer, bringing a unique and unbiased perspective to the ITG Team. Steve’s broad taste in games, from narrative-driven stories to FPS, horror, puzzle, and open-world games, reflects his appreciation for the hard work that goes into game development. Titles like Horizon Zero Dawn, Horizon Forbidden West, The Last of Us, and Detroit: Become Human stand out as personal favorites, showcasing his varied interests and deep appreciation for quality storytelling and immersive gameplay.

Steve Radley’s perspectives are a testament to video games’ universal appeal and their ability to connect individuals from different walks of life and nationalities.
